Day in Tacoma

Because my sister went to trek for her YW stake calling and her husband was gone in Utah with my brother, I watched my sister's kids for a few days. Friday, the crap hit the fan because of the little boys fighting and I was desperate to get out of the house before their naps! We headed to the Children's Museum in Tacoma. It was fun, although we weren't there long.

After we went to the museum, I took the kids to the ocean at Owen's Beach for a little while. Everyone had a great time. We weren't there long because I was worried about getting everyone back in time for the boys' naps, but we had a great time splashing, finding shells and crabs, and just enjoying the beach. We ran back to the car as a storm chased us. It was fun!

Emma wanted to go down the first set of stairs to walk on the shore while we walked above on the path.

Pt. Defiance Zoo & Aquarium

I missed my friend, Leslie's, bridal shower and we had bee working to set a date to get together so I could give her her gift. After rescheduling once, we ended up getting together to go to Pt. Defiance Zoo with another friend, Melanie! Harrison LOVED the sharks and the fish. (The boy loves water... no surprises there!) The other animals were mostly hidden, except for the elephants which he liked and the tiger... even though the tiger was just laying down AND I had to lift him up high to see it, he did not want to leave the tiger. He just kept saying, "I go see tiger, mama."

After seeing the animals and aquarium, we headed to the huge kids' park/splash pad. Harrison could not figure out how to take turns to get down the slide. It took a few of us coaxing him down.

Harrison also went on his first merry-go-round ride at the end of our zoo trip. He was unsure to begin with, but did NOT want to get off at the end. Typical!

After our time at the zoo, we went on a lunch date to Subway and to the grocery store to charge my phone and kill time until we could get together with my friend, Ashleigh! :)

Harrison climbed up onto this structure and the proceeded to attempt to climb up the fake plants!

Love this boy!

I love the roaming peacocks!

Stuck on the slide...

In love with this car cart at the grocery store! I need one at every store I go to so I can get my shopping done. Any store that has one of these has my business for life! Take note stores!

Did not hesitate to get naked and jump right in when we went to visit my friend, Ashleigh!

Picture Update: June 16th to June 22nd

Harrison has been more and more intrigued with sitting on his potty. He hasn't gone potty in it yet, but we know that any exposure or desire to go we are going to let him do it.

Driving mama's car

I turned away for just a second and he was on the counter... eating RAW oatmeal out of the container. I guess it could be worse, right?! :)

The boy seriously LOVES the hardware store... with FREE popcorn and his own cart, what's not to love? He just wanted to STARE at the keys (probably because I wouldn't let him touch them). I couldn't get him away from this section without a tear or two.

Books, books, books! This reading corner is his favorite spot in the house.

Playing at Zeke's house

Harrison recently started getting more interested in playing in the yard by himself with his trucks. YAY! Hoping this will make gardening a little easier. :)

This guy... climbed over the gate and looked so mischievous with his sword in hand!

Zeke came to play for a little bit...

Playing at his cousins' house... He loves this swing!

What's that? Lavender.

Love that Annie was reading WHILE swinging. We got together to eat and do some planning for the reunion at Mud Mt. Dam.
