Another BUSY week! Seriously, the past few weeks have been flying by. I think it helps that the weather has been nice (until Wednesday, this week, that is!) and we've been super busy out in the yard working and doing projects. Here are a few pictures of what we've been up to... Unfortunately, I realized I haven't been using my DSLR much recently. In fact, I didn't use it at all this whole week! I guess it's just too easy to snap phone pictures! I need to be better about that.
This guy cracks me up with how much he wants to go on walks. This was 8am this morning (Sunday). I didn't want to wake up the neighbors, but this guy was CHOMPING AT THE BIT to get outside on a walk!
Last night, we went to go visit Evan at work and take him dinner. Evan road his bike to work. Harrison was SO excited to see Daddy's bike as we were leaving. He was so upset when I told him that he couldn't ride it! This guy loves vehicles and bikes... pretty much anything with wheels!
We had a friend come visit Saturday (Michelle Harvey), which turned into no nap for this guy! After talking with Michelle, I was inspired to get half my starts in the ground yesterday. I was mentioning to her how sick I was of having them in my house for a month. I realized that, since I had more starts than I could use anyway, I could plant half of them and just see how they did. If I lost some, then at least I knew if they were ready or not. Also, if I lose some, I still have more in the house to use! I hope they work and I can give the starts in the house away. This little "helper" was being such a stinker pulling off the blooms of the chives and trying to eat them saying "spicy." It took me probably TRIPLE the time it would have taken without him, but he's cute, so that makes up for it, right?! :)
On Friday, we went up to Seattle for Evan to get a boat and for me to help host an author reading at the Seattle Public Library. Poor sweetie napped in the car because the author visit took longer than I thought. It was a good thing he did because we were gone the rest of the day, me at a meeting for GAPP and Harrison at his friend, Zeke's house so I could be at the GAPP meeting. Long day!
On Thursday, Harrison fell asleep in the car again... man, this guy has had a lot of car naps recently! We went to Sumner to take the MacDonalds raspberry starts I got from my sister and to go to WINCO. Harrison and I ended up hanging out at their house while Evan went grocery shopping for us. Lindsay was sweet enough to make us lunch! Harrison totally conked out on the way home and thankfully was able to continue sleeping in his bed when we got home. Poor guy!
Digging with the MacDonald girls...
He found this helmet at their house and loved it! At least he is practicing safety, right?! Or does it not count when it's on backwards and not strapped? :)
Wednesday lunch on the deck while we let daddy study!
Tuesday library date after visiting daddy at work... This is one of his favorite books every time we go! He carries it all around at home and could read it all day long! So grateful my boy loves reading!
On Tuesday, we took Evan some dinner because I didn't have it ready when he went to school and then work. When we got there, we came upon a little surprise party Evan's coworker set up to celebrate Evan's birthday! One of his coworkers kept giving Harrison candy and cookies. My sneaky way of keeping the sugar down is asking for a bite and then taking half of it and throwing it away (or eating it, if it's delicious!). He is a really good sharing boy right now until he gets wise to what I'm doing! :)
From the second this boy woke up, he wanted to "mow the lawn" noise-reducing "headphones" and all!
On Monday, I FINALLY sent a package to my penpal that I've been meaning to send for a while now! We connected via instagram and have been emailing off and on since December. I thought it would be fun to send an actual letter in the mail and decided to include a few fun things with it!
Oh, what? Your toddler doesn't pretend to mow the lawn all day long? Mine either.
Monday morning, Harrison and I went to a former coworker's house to get some Mary Kay stuff and I ended up signing up to get a better deal on what I was already going to be buying. (Anyone need any Mary Kay products, let me know!) I highly doubt I'll actually do anything with it. I'm not really into having a makeup party or anything, but who knows! At Corie's house, Harrison LOVED playing outside. He got to pet a chicken and wasn't so sure about it, but thought it was fun anyway. :)
He climbed up to the table and used the (thankfully unused) mascara brush to comb his hair. Ha!
