2. Your diet mostly consists of saltine crackers with the occasional banana thrown in there (stomach allowing).
3. You wake up in the night to go pee a minimum of 2 times.
4. Your clothes are starting to get tight around the middle, in spite of the nausea and vomiting.
5. Your sleep to awake ratio has gotten closer together.
6. Your husband has to do most of the cooking, because you can't stand the SMELL or SIGHT of food.
7. Just about anything will make you cry, even if it's something you were originally laughing about that then turns in crying.
8. Most days are NON-makeup days due to the nausea, vomiting, tiredness, and lack of care for one's overall appearance.
9. The sight or smell of the most random things make you want to throw up. (e.g. a piece of pizza in the fridge may just send you over the edge when packing your lunch)
And the most tell-tale sign...
10. You haven't had your period in 3 months!
If you have any of the above signs, you may want to take a pregnancy test and seek medical attention.
Because I have these signs, I want to tell you that the Stout family is adding one to their number in July!

Woo-hoo! Even though I already knew, I'm so happy for you! You'll be in the second trimester soon, or are already and HOPEFULLY you'll start feeling better. The first few months are so hard, but the tiredness should go away soon! I couldn't eat sweets for the first four months with Anna. Anyway, I'm so happy for you two! Love you! :)

I am so happy for you congrats! What a wonderful blessing. Hope you feel better soon!
The peeing should ease up for a bit in the middle--once the baby starts to stick out then they don't press down so much (until they do again...but usually mama gets at least a couple of months reprieve in the middle!!)
Ginger and peppermint are both recommended for nausea. Some people like tea (I don't), but sucking on hard candies (made with the actual oils, not just the flavors) did work for me...pretty well...
One thing I found was that I always wanted carbs, but they never helped...what did help was protein. If I could make myself put down a spoonful of peanut butter, or an egg, or a little cheese, that settled my tummy better than about anything.
Bananas are incredibly good for pregnancy actually. Potassium is good for muscle cramps which are common in pregnancy (nectarines and watermelon are other good sources). I used to wake up with a charlie horse at least once a week when I was pregnant. NOT cool!
For the most part, eat whatever sounds good and whatever you can keep down. Your body will feed the baby--even if it means drawing on your own reserves--your body will support that baby before it supports you. So don't sweat it too much on the baby's account, just keep yourself going with whatever you can (and lookout second trimester!) I never got a big appetite when pregnant actually--that kicked in once I started breastfeeding. Oh boy did it ever! LOL!
Congratulations again!!! We are super excited for you and hope you start feeling better soon! Love you!
Yay!!! So excited for you!!! Due date?
April- I'm due July 24th! That's on your birthday, Stacy! :-)

Hooray for you. That sounds awful. Good job on your baby trying to kill you with your throw up! Yay!
I'm glad you guys are having a baby. That's great. Ours is still alive so we are successful at being parents.
I will write a letter to your baby when it is born and you find out its name. Because you can't name it. It'll just introduce itself.
"Hello. I'm Gunther Stout."
or
"Hello. I'm Diadem Stout."
or
"Hello. There was a womb switch. Your baby is being born in Dallas."
yay for babies! boo for nausea :( hope it passes and you get to enjoy pregnancy. keep us posted, i.e. pics!
Yay! So excited for you Sarah!!
How exciting! Congrats!
