Pregnancy & The Stomach Flu

I don't know why a pregnant woman who is already vomiting and nauseated a majority of the time has to get the stomach flu. Pregnancy and the stomach flu DEFINITELY don't mix and have left me exhausted, irritable, and anxious that I will start contracting because of dehydration. YIKES!

I cried today several times. I talked to the little baby and told him (I think it's a boy) to hang in there and that his mama is working really hard to keep him safe and healthy. I cried because I was worried for the baby. I cried because I felt so alone. I cried because I missed my mom knowing she would have been there to comfort me and to help me out when Evan's had to work for 13 hours. Thankfully, Evan gave me a comforting blessing before he went to work that I had to hold onto today when I was feeling so awful. So grateful for the priesthood.

I couldn't get out of bed for a majority of the day, which worried me. How was I going to get to the store to get the anti-nausea/vomiting medicine prescribed to me? How was I going to get the liquids my body and baby so desperately needed? Eventually, I broke down and texted a friend asking if she could help me. So grateful for friends who care and take the time to serve. It's not easy asking for help when times are down, but she made me feel okay that I asked. 

I prayed all day to feel better. I know that my prayers will be answered some time. For now, I'll get back in bed listening to my iPod and playing games trying to keep the vomiting away!
