More Snow Days

I was excited last week, because I was going to have a 4-day weekend! I took off Friday, the 13th, because I had a doctor's appointment and then Monday was MLK, Jr. Day. Awesome, right?

Well, my week got even more awesome! Because of the crazy snow/ice storm in Seattle, I ended up not working the entire week! Of course, it seems really awesome right now to have 10 days away from school, but probably won't seem so awesome in June when 4 days are added onto the end of the school year. C'est la vie!

I pretty much played my heart out this week with 3 of my adorable nieces. I started watching them on Tuesday because their parents and 2 brothers are in Hawaii.

  • Tuesday: Evan and I hiked Mt. Peak and then took over girl-watching duties from their grandma. That night, we mostly just played games and snacked.
  • Wednesday: We had a huge snow storm and made a snowman. Read about it HERE.
  • Thursday: Crazy ice storm and we lost power Wednesday night. See pictures HERE. After playing around in the ice/snow, headed to my place to play games and eat in the WARMTH of power!
  • Friday: Crafting, more games and playing around. Evan snapped the pictures BELOW of the girls doing gymnastics in our apartment in between crafting playing board games! We had so much fun playing Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, and Rummikub! We went out that night to dinner at a mom and pop burger place where I live because I have, oddly enough, been craving hamburgers recently. Weird.
All in all, we had a lot of fun together during our 4 snow days! Love these girls!

Here is my little Nonney Nonney making THIS BANNER.

This girl LOVES crafting with me! She begs me every time we get together to do a craft. We've sewed together, made headbands, carved our own stamps... you name it, we've done it!

This one is SO good at gymnastics. Self-taught!

Here she is helping her sister.

Then, of course, the little one wanted in on the action! :) I promise I actually dress my nieces, but the middle one LOVES jammies and the youngest doesn't like wearing anything but underwear! She strips down to her skivvies the second we walk into the house, no matter how cold it is.
